Ashley: I guess I should congratulate you.
Taylor: For what?
Ashley: omigod, you haven’t seen it yet!
Taylor: Seen what?
Ashley: The prom nominations list. She hands the list to her.
Taylor: I was nominated?
Ashley: I know, believe me, I was just as surprised as you. (Catching herself ) Not that you aren’t pretty/ hot enough… It’s just that I’ve basically been campaigning for this all year and you like just appeared out of no where.
Taylor: Yeah, I moved here in February
Ashley: Exactly.
Taylor: And now I’m here.
Ashley: Well, don’t get your hopes up.
Taylor: Why not?
Ashley: Well, I know you’re new here, but I was junior prom queen and homecoming queen, so I’m basically a shoe in for senior prom queen.
Taylor: We’ll see
Ashley: Don’t get competitive (or I’m not trying to be competitive)! We girls have to support each other.
Taylor:
Ashley: I forgive you by the way.
Taylor:
Ashley: For throwing mashed potatoes at me
Taylor:
Ashley: I know everyone thinks I’m a bitch, but I’m actually really nice.
Taylor:
Ashley: People are just jealous of me, so they say mean things. It’s not your fault you believed them.
Taylor:
Ashley: You should come prom dress shopping with me and Katie tomorrow!
Taylor: ok
Ashley: That way we can make sure none of us get the same dress. That would be super embarrassing! For you, I mean.
Taylor:
Ashley: What’s your budget?
Taylor:
Ashley: For your prom dress? I picked out a Versace dress, but my dad says I need to keep it under $1k.
Taylor:
Ashley: Describe your dream prom dress!
Taylor: She does
Ashley: Echo question, with some doubt
Taylor: They justify their choice.
Ashley: Omigod, we should totally give you a makeover!
